Target audience:

Frontline workers and managers – those working with victims and families affected by domestic abuse

Session Outline:

• To gain an understanding of how destitute victims of domestic abuse who have no recourse to public funds access statutory support. The groups this session will focus on are those eligible for the Migrant Victims Domestic Abuse Concession, asylum seekers or pre-asylum applicants and individuals on student or skilled work visas.
• To gain an understanding of the different immigration routes and the key features to look for to identify a person’s immigration status.
